My home studio in Portland, Oregon is a happy and busy space. I sew clothing and functional items for myself and my family and am currently working on a collection of one-of-a kind products for home and personal use. I value handwork and believe in the importance of making things with care. I’ve studied painting, printmaking, graphic design and have worked for a short time in advertising and as a graphic designer. But I have always loved my sewing machine and fabric best.
In addition to my own work, I teach classes and host camps and workshops for kids throughout the year. I am committed to helping students develop skills that build confidence, encourage problem solving, teach them patience and get them thinking about about what goes into producing many of the things they buy. More than anything else though, I love to see them experience the joy of creating—much like I did as a kid.
Thanks for visiting!
